- Fixed contention ratios using IPStream
- 50 to 1 for rapid packages.
- IPStream means that you will receive a guaranteed contention ratio (the number of connections that you could share your connection with at the exchange). Other ISP’s, like Tesco, Tiscali et cetera, offer DataStream which means that they don’t have to offer guaranteed contention ratios and therefore you may find that the network is heavily contended which can result in a slow unpredictable connection.
